Updated Fire Pit- Pinterest project complete!

So this is the picture of a fire pit that I loved and wanted to do at our lake house.

So this weekend, we did it!!  We used much smaller stone edging but we are very pleased with how it turned out.

Another Pinterest project completed.

Basement Completed

Well, after everything.  The painting project in the basement is complete.   We are really happy with how it looks.  It was a fun project.

DIY Basement Painting Continues

More of our Basement painting complete.  Here is a picture as you look down the stairway.

 Exercise / Office area is completed.

 Now to complete the second wall in the bar area and I will be done!!

This has been such a fun and easy winter project.  One that really makes a dramatic difference.  It just doesn't feel like a basement anymore!!

DIY - Basement Continues

Here is the Stairway- 

 Just going to the next wall.  Looks great coming down the stairway.

 Here is how I am doing it.  Using 4 paints on a tray.  Using a 3 inch paint brush and just going from color to color.  So it is very easy to paint.  Each block comes out different.

One Wall in the Basement Bar Completed!!!

 We are very happy how it turned out!

DIY- Man Cave Area of Basement Complete

This is the first completed area of the Basement.  Jack and I are very happy with it.

 A Big Change from the previous pictures.  A big difference for very little money.  Now on to the Bar Area!

DIY Project Started.  No Turning back now.

So far, So good.   I used 4 different cans of paint.  Dark brown, tan, light grey and dark grey.  One 3 inch paint brush.  Each brick is different.  A very fun project.

Ok----Here we go.  I am going to take on another DIY project that I found on Pinterest!

I thought this would look outstanding in our basement.  That is where Jack's man cave is.  We have a bar for entertaining and a workout room.

These first 2 pictures are my inspiration.

Master Bedroom at the Saginaw House

Here is the project Jack and I have been working on this week!!  With the help of my girlfriend Barb.  She is a great painter and she did all the trim work.  Here is the before pictures.
