DIY - Basement Continues

Here is the Stairway- 





 Just going to the next wall.  Looks great coming down the stairway.

 Here is how I am doing it.  Using 4 paints on a tray.  Using a 3 inch paint brush and just going from color to color.  So it is very easy to paint.  Each block comes out different.

Coney Island Chili Dog Sauce Recipe

Ok---The Coney Island Chili Dog Sauce---You can make and they will love.  This is a great recipe.

1 Pound Ground Chuck
1 Six Ounce can of Hunts tomato paste
1 cup water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
1 tablespoon dried, minced onion
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin (heaping)
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Making the Chili Sauce:

1.  In a 2 qt. saucepan, brown the ground chuck, breaking into very small pieces.  Salt and pepper lightly while cooking.  do not drain the fat.

2.  Add the remaining ingredients.  Simmer, uncovered, 30-45 minutes until it thickens.  Stir occasionally.

DIY- Man Cave Area of Basement Complete

This is the first completed area of the Basement.  Jack and I are very happy with it.


 A Big Change from the previous pictures.  A big difference for very little money.  Now on to the Bar Area!

DIY Project Started.  No Turning back now.

So far, So good.   I used 4 different cans of paint.  Dark brown, tan, light grey and dark grey.  One 3 inch paint brush.  Each brick is different.  A very fun project.
